In the original Gran Turismo game, I spent a significant part of Career Simulation Mode modding up a GTO to overwhelm the competition with horsepower.
The relatively unloved GTO / Dodge Stealth gets a marginally loving but fully nostalgic modern-day review (Eng subs).
In good condition, these still possess an impressive street presence.

GTOs are extremely cool cars. The VR-4 models are like the ‘90s Nissan GT-Rs in terms of being high-tech space machines.
I’ve always thought the base model (FWD) GTOs are a great candidate for EV swaps as batteries get cheaper. Fit in some electric motor components on the rear axle, keep the front axle V6-powered, and have a dual AWD hybrid tuner car. They’re not super expensive to buy either.

And you’re thinking about how to make it the good sports car that it never was. That’s good Oppo.

The $125 ,000 Supras of the world just don’t do it for me. Gimme a $1,250 underdog of a car and lemme give it another chance.

Like, this car pictured doesn’t get the respect and acclaim it deserves. I’d be stoked at the chance to change that.

One of the techs in my shop has a stealth. It, and my E55 both sit 90% of the time because we have other vehicles. They're always parked right next to each other in our employee parking garage, which is kind of a fun sight. Two rare monsters from 20+ years ago, both in really good condition.
